Development Application for sheep hill port

Centrex submitted a project referral to the Department of Planning and Local Government (DPLG) in December 2010. On 6 January 2011, the proposed Port Project was declared a Major Project by the Minister for Urban Development and Planning. The Development Assessment Commission (DAC) will be the lead agency for the process of Project development approval assessment.

On 1 June 2011 the SA Government notified the public that the Development Assessment Commission (DAC) has determined that Centrex must prepare a detailed Public Environmental Report regarding the proposal and has issued formal guidelines outlining the environmental, social and economic issues which the PER must address.
